Heading over to South Beach for a week or a weekend? Don’t leave without visiting this charming street
Espanola Way runs in between Collins and Meridian Avenue. But the most famous part of it goes only for 1.5 blocks, starting on Washington Ave and ending right between Drexel and Pennsylvania (easy to find on your map)
It resembles old-world Mediterranean streets with shops and restaurants on both sides. Buildings on both sides are hotels that were built with French Riviera and Spanish Mediterranean in mind. they have been renovated (some are undergoing renovations at this moment.
The street is closed to car access so it’s very similar to the nearby famous Lincoln road. You can freely walk from one store to another. There are several staple restaurants where you can enjoy world cuisines such as Mexican, Cuban, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Gelatos, and more!
Hotels on both sides offer a charming environment maintaining the old style stucco and colorful mosaics as well as European balconies with flowers overlooking the street.
This is truly one of the most international streets in the entire South Beach because of its stores, restaurants and even its famous Italian salon/barbershop!
Still, want more hidden treasures or looking for a quiet place for a photoshoot? check out the back allies of Espanola way where you will find old world corridors, perfect for photo shoots, shade and even some places you can sit and have a “Siesta”!
Towards the evening the street is light up with sparkling bulbs that decorate it like a canopy and on the weekends they might have live shows as well!
I would love to visit here.

I’ll be visiting Española Way and Miami for the first time and I was wondering how I could find the alley you took photos in the third photo!? Also is the courtyard open to the public as well!?
