Located on the historic Espaniola Way Tapas y Tintos first opened their door in 1981 and quickly became a favorite among locals and tourists.
The interior decor fits perfectly with the location. All walls are adorned with different types of memorabilia from Spain (no pics, you have to see it by yourself)
Besides serving food Tapas y Tintos is actively involved in the entertainment program and cares for enriching your experience during visits with daily specials, shows, and activities.
Of course, the most entertaining once fall on weekends starting with Friday’s flamenco show that repeats as well on Saturday and following with Latin dancing after party.
Locals know to check the place constantly as they can suddenly roll in with a series of tango classes or salsa sessions.
And do I have to tell you all that comes accompanied with an amazing food and drinks?
But let’s get to the business you are here for good deals, right? You will not be disappointed!
There are plenty for hungry and hungrier visitors as well as for those who don’t eat much (I dare you to resist)
I suggest you pay close attention to your waiter’s explanations and comments there are many specials going on so if you feel you missed something from his monolog, ask him to repeat or clarify.
If you are in for some drinks and just an afternoon happy hour I suggest you start with sangrias. Of course, they have other drinks and they are also in happy hour prices but hey, Sangria is their specialty so you have to at least try it and besides, what can be more refreshing on a hot day then a good sangria.
Order some small tapas, they come in pair and cost of $2 ($1.5 on happy hour) is pretty good if you are looking for something light.
tapas is a traditional Spanish appetizer, I suggest you ask your waiter for the explanation, they will be happy to explain.
You can have cold and hot tapas, we got (as pictured) Chorizo and Garbanzo, one of my favorites Spanish tortilla, Morcilla (blood sausage) and Jamon Iberico. There are also bigger sized tapas and Tapas y Tintos always has some special going on.
During our visit, the special of 2 sangrias, 2 appetizers, and a paella for 2 for $35* (prices and specials can change at any time by the restaurant check it here) was very hard to pass on.
Even if the day of your visit this offer is not available I still suggest you to try the paella.
After your belly is happy and happy hour is ending Flamenco dancers will arrive sunset sun rays will illuminate the street and little sparkling lights will turn on to bring you the ultimate Spanish experience. Just keep sipping your sangria or ask for a mojito.
