If you follow me on Instagram you can see that I exercise regularly and eat healthy. but it wasn’t always like this.
Before moving to Miami I used to practice Karate. I got to almost brown belt but had to move and never got my test. Once I moved here things didn’t go as planned (they never do) so Karate was set apart. Besides that all tasty food available around and some health disruptions I gained 50Lb (around 23Kg).
Once we moved to South Beach my husband got a news from the doctor and was put in pre-diabetic stage. This was a red flag that we needed change.
We started slowly with a diet which was not anything from expensive books but just making healthier choices (I will post more details about it in later posts).
We started exercising (I will go on that also in other posts), but don’t expect miracle recommendation to a magical trainer. Our first sets were 15 min in the beach before work. It helped that we were going together and supporting each other.
Couple of month later we started biking 2 miles a day. using the most regular bike you can find, no fancy equipment.
Long story short in 6 months my husband was removed from diabetic risk list. yo can follow his Instagram for examples on what he does Yves Instagram feed
6 month into creating healthy habits the result encouraged us to keep going. We had ups and downs and it didn’t happen overnight at all.
So keep up with my future posts to learn how we did it (and still doing) I am 10Lb (4.5Kg) from my goal weight, hubby still needs to get about 30Lb out but we are on it.
